PETALING JAYA: Hartalega Holdings Bhd’s net profit surged 68% to RM37.3mil in the third quarter ended Dec 31, 2009 from RM22.2mil a year earlier on continuous production expansion, increased demand and better margins.

Revenue rose 28% to RM409mil, it told Bursa Malaysia yesterday.

“Our protein-free and competitive priced nitrile gloves have made it more affordable for the acute healthcare industry to continue switching from natural rubber to our product to avoid the potein-allergy problem,” it said.
